Location & Maps
Shriners Club CampgroundLocated in south-central Missouri, the Shriners Club Campground is a large (88 acre) wooded event venue with grassy fields, shaded groves, woods, cold running water and hot showers. All persons who respect nature are invited.
The site has been owned for 55 years and used for a variety of events such as bike ralleys, local festivals, and circus’s since the founding of the club.
Once inside, the main road splits into many roads that loop around the many camping areas. All roads are well graveled.
The Shriners Club Campground is lush with trees and vegetation because it is located on the edge of the Missouri Ozarks region. Livestock from neighboring farms often graze nearby. The campground is completely surrounded by forest and fields.
It's truly a beautiful place.

Upon Arrival
When arriving at the Shriners Club Campground the entrance to InterFuse will be the southern road into the campground. If you are facing the property, it’s the entrance on the right. Do not use the other entrance - we WILL make you turn around and come back in the correct way. Don’t fret – there will be signs in place to direct you lest you forget!
Street Signs Inside The Campground
Are you worried you will find yourself lost in the wilds? Fear not, intrepid Burner, for you shall see a sign. Literally. Well, many signs.
Indeed, multiple roads inside the campground means we will be placing street signs at junctions for your navigational pleasure.
North/South(ish) running roads and foot paths will be named after the 10 Principles and will stay the same year after year. East/West(ish) roads and footpaths will bear theme-specific names in alphabetical order from North to South.
In addition to directing others to your camp more accurately, this will allow you to keep track of your way home without leaving a trail of breadcrumbs behind you. That's MOOP, you know.
Porta-A-Loos
InterFuse provides plenty of sanitized and well stocked Porta-A-Loos.
Remember, if it didn't come from your body, don't put it in the potty. Porta-A-Loos are not your trash can. Anything other than one-ply toilet paper and body fluids will clog the cleaning machine. If you're being self-sufficient and bringing your own toilet paper, please use one-ply paper.

On-Site Water
There are more than 25 drinking water spigots (not counting the shower house) located at various areas around the campground. These are marked on the Campground Map. The water is under pressure so be careful when filling small containers. There are also sinks and hot showers at the shower house.

On-Site Ice
Ice is an essential part of a multi-day Burns' infrastructure. We don't want a bunch of people getting food poisoning and we don't permit in-outs to go purchase more ice. So, like Burning Man and various Regional Burns, Midwest Burners is allowing ice sales as the exception to our decommodified space.
Our host, The Shriners Club, is providing the ice service for InterFuse 2011.
Ice Location: Center Camp
Days & Times Available: March 12-15 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM, each day.
Price: $3.00 for a 7 pound bag. Cash only please.
On-Site Electricity
There is no on-site electricity. If you want power you'll have to generate it yourself.

You should already have everything you need for the duration of your stay before entering InterFuse.
Missouri Mud
The mud in the Missouri Ozarks contains a large portion of clay, so it clings tightly and dries hard. Be sure to bring comfortable but durable shoes.
Large thunderstorms occurred during five of the seven previous InterFuses, turning the main road into mush that even sucked in 4X4s. Rain or shine, driving after you are set up will not be allowed in order to preserve the land as we found it. Art Cars are the exception to this rule and even Art Cars must be parked during muddy conditions.
Be prepared for at least a little mud.
