Gate & Greeters

The InterFuse Gate is a portal into a temporary autonomous zone where commerce is suspended and personal interaction, radical inclusion, and gifting define relationships. The Gate will be your first InterFuse interaction. How do you want to express yourself?

IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR InterFuse 2010!!!!!

Registration and Greeting are being split up into two different locations. The Greeters at both locations work hard welcoming you and they appreciate thoughtful gifts like cold drinks.

You will arrive the Registration Tent first. Please park your car in the temporary parking area off of the road, grab your ID and TICKET, and sign-in at the Registration Tent. This “business part” should go quickly. The following sections will tell you how to be prepared for InterFuse registration.

What To Expect At The InterFuse Front Gate

Each person arriving at InterFuse will need to have some form of Government issued identification and a ticket in hand.

A member MUST be present at InterFuse if his or her guests attend this festival. It is the member’s responsibility to host his or her guests.

Sometimes logistics keep groups from arriving together and that is okay. When each person presents his or her ticket and government issued ID at the Front Gate, the Registration Greeters will check this information against our records. The Registration Greeters will use the name on your ID to verify that you are a member of Midwest Burners. When guests arrive before their hosts, the Registration Greeters will use the guests’ ticket numbers to verify that these people have a member hosting them.

Education, InterFuse Style!

After you register, drive further down the road to the Education Tent and re-park to be welcomed into InterFuse!! The Education Greeters will remind you of our principles and quiz you on things like LNT. InterFuse virgins have been known to be given special treatment. Prepare for your first radical interaction at InterFuse!

Age Restrictions

In Fall 2007, we decided as a community to make InterFuse an adult event while HullabalU is an all ages event. Now no one under 18 may attend InterFuse, even if accompanied by a parent or guardian. We apologize for any disappointments and inconveniences. This decision was painful and took us four years of hard discussion to thrash out.

The Registration Greeters will give everyone wristbands to signify those of drinking age and those underage. The different wristbands will help everyone identify people you may legally share alcohol with. Please wear the wristband throughout the event. If your wristband breaks, please come to the Registration Tent with your ticket and ID to get another one.

When you arrive at InterFuse's Gate you will be reminded by the Registration Greeters that once you sign in and enter the campground, you cannot leave and then return later. This policy is for everyone's security. The Registration tent will not have the ability to sell you another ticket or have any cash on hand. Make sure you have everything you need to camp for the duration of your stay when you arrive.

"It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul."
