Events & Performers

Most things at InterFuse are spontaneous, but some things do happen at scheduled times.

Midwest Burners/InterFuse does not book performers or entertainers for our events. YOU create the entertainment as a free gift to everyone else! Please remember that the point of InterFuse is to give gifts and make friends rather than to promote to a consumer base.

Tell the Event Planners about your InterFuse event or performance by April 16th to get it listed here and in the Front Gate Handout. This will make people more aware of your event (and you’ll get more participants).

Use the form at the bottom of this page to get your event or performance listed.

Itty Bitty Toga Party

Where: Campsite at Maypole Hill
Organizer: Gaius Flavius

I bought out a 50% inventory of a closed down liquor store for 25 cents on the dollar. Sooooooo I plan on having an Itty Bitty Toga Party to use up a portion of my liquid gains. I'd ask that individuals try to be as outrageous as possible on their togas (prize for the best male and female toga) and that people bring their own drinking utensil so we don't have lots of trash (I'm very Green).

Anyone wishing to bring snacks would be appreciated.

I'll supply all the booze, mixers, etc. to float a battleship. Lights, music, and blenders - shades of Spring Break!

Description

6:00 PM

Opening Ceremony and Party

This year’s effigy is a tribute to that most influential piece of technology of our time, the Television. But instead of being fed information from corporations with sketchy intentions, in true Burner fashion, we will be creating & sharing our own way of viewing the world, each other and our connection. pARTicipation is what makes our Effigy so memorable and what makes burning it such a release of passion.

We would like to gather at about 6:00ish PM when the Effigy is completed to celebrate our intentions for the weekend, thank each other and open the stage together. Of course there should be FOOD right? To celebrate our love and hate of the TV and all things Techno - we invite all you couch potatoes to Couch Potato Pot luck. Everyone bring baked potato fixin’s and we’ll provide the potatoes. Other more typical food of the Potato Couch variety is also welcomed! Wine and Cheese may also be served.
