Volunteer
InterFuse is a community event, created entirely through the volunteer labor of many amazing people. An event of this size can't function without YOU making it happen.
Everyone shares the play, the work, and the cost of creating InterFuse. This means that EVERYONE buys a ticket, including voluteers and event planners. Volunteering will not get you into InterFuse for free but it does ensure that this beautiful regional Burning Man experience continues to be here for you to enjoy.
Do you know how to build a fire correctly? Would you like to greet people with a big hug? Do you hate MOOP (Matter Out Of Place)?

Experienced Front Gate person who will train and coordinate the Greeters, and monitor the camp entrance. This Team Lead will carry a provided radio and must be available during open gate hours. This Lead will also help organize supplies for the Gate and coordinate Gate decorations. |

Front Gate Greeters |

Front Gate Greeters create the first experience at InterFuse. Greeting is a wonderful way to plug-in if you are new to the community and a good way meet tons of new friends! Greeters spend two-hours at the Front Gate, greeting & registering new arrivals and taking tickets. There's no cash box to worry about. Greeters will receive training and a short list of procedures from a Gate Keeper before InterFuse and at the event. A radio will be located at the Gate to stay in touch with the Gate Keeper. Leave No Trace Team (LNT) |

Anyone who feels strongly about leaving the land as clean as (or cleaner than) we found it is invited to participate, even if you’re not an Earth Guardian or TLA. Garbage bags and tools will be provided. The main help is needed for several hours on Sunday afternoon when we scour the land for MOOP (Matter Out Of Place) and check the fire circles. Stage Managers will hang out at THE hub of activity at InterFuse for a four to eight hour shift. These people will be able to catch a lot of performances and art as well as helping them to happen. They will coordinate entertainment for the TV (effigy/stage) with participants before and during InterFuse, show people how to use the audio and video equipment, look after the equipment, and store it at the end of Prime Time. |

InterRanger Lead |

Must be an experienced Ranger. The Lead Ranger will educate other Ranger volunteers before and during the event. The Lead will be on call with a radio for a majority of the time during InterFuse and may make key decisions if Zay is unavailable. The Lead will help organize supplies for the InterRangers. |

This person will work closely with the InterRanger Lead and be his right hand Ranger. The InterRanger Co-Lead will take over for the Lead if the Lead becomes unavailable for whatever reason. This person must either have been a Ranger at Burning Man or a previous InterFuse participant. It's a plus if you have had both experiences! Shifts for the Co-Lead can be very flexible. |

Do you want to meet lots of people? Do you enjoy solving problems and being helpful? Ride the Edge of Chaos. Be a Ranger! Anyone skilled or trained in psychology, social work, medicine, First Responder work, or Firefighting is also urgently needed and would be a very valuable part of our crew. Shifts are two hours. This crew helps people park efficiently to conserve as much space as possible. The Wranglers also tell folks where to drop off their gear to load onto the OA Express. If it doesn’t rain, then the main job would be to park cars in overflow lots. Shifts are 3 hours. |
